Soul-Soothing Nature Escape: Recharging in the Langtang Range

Day 8 was a soothing retreat into remote mountain landscapes after a week of intensive building. Since our team handled breakfast duty, we got to sleep in until the leisurely hour of 7 AM.

At 9, we embarked on a scenic hike along steep trails into the verdant jungle. Our faithful pups Rakshya and Kabita led the way as we breathed fresh air and took in unbeatable views of the majestic Langtang peaks.

We stopped to worship at antiquated Bhimdewó temple and visit a serene cave monastery. But the ultimate highlight was when Orion played his magical flute atop a windswept hillside overlook. With eyes closed, I let the beautiful notes harmonize with the mountain breeze, transporting me.

We connected with local Tamang people and toured traditional stone/timber houses, appreciating vernacular architecture. On the return, we relished hard-earned momos and rested weary legs.

Back at our cozy camp, we united for a gratitude circle followed by fireside camaraderie under the stars. My soul feels restored hearing wilderness melodies, though I’ll need the energy. It’s back to dome building tomorrow!

This tranquil day with dear new friends recharged me through natural splendor and shared stories. Now I’m ready to manifest more earthy magic, one tamped bag at a time.
