This neoclassical-inspired design for the Civil & Hydro “Block” at Council For Technical Education & Vocational Training Rapti Technical School Gobardiya-Dang, Nepal features a stately stone facade and ornamental details that give it an institutional, scholarly aesthetic.

The exterior cladding utilizes locally-sourced stone in stacked courses with a roughhewn texture. Arched windows with prominent keystones and a central portico supported by columns creates a symmetrical, grand entrance.

Inside, vaulted ceilings in the main hallway contribute grandeur, while expansive banks of windows usher in natural light. The materials palette combines stone, wood and metal for durability.

The neoclassical elements layered throughout the architecture establish this building as an important center of learning, while nodding to classical education influences. The composition as a whole conveys permanence, integrity and wisdom.
